Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Shotweave ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Shotweave is an AI-powered filmmaking tool that generates scripts, shot lists, images, and video clips using third-party AI models. The Service is provided on a credit-based, pay-as-you-go basis.

3. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must not share your account or use the Service for any unlawful purpose. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

4. Credits, Payments & Refunds

  • Credits are purchased in packs via Stripe and are added to your account balance upon successful payment.
  • Credits are consumed when you use AI generation features (image generation, video generation, script generation, etc.).
  • Credits are non-refundable. Purchased credits cannot be converted back to cash.
  • If an AI generation job fails or is cancelled before completion, the reserved credits are automatically returned to your balance.
  • Credit prices and pack sizes are subject to change. Any changes will not affect credits already purchased.

5. AI-Generated Content

  • All images, videos, scripts, and text generated through the Service are produced by third-party AI models (fal.ai, OpenRouter). Output quality, accuracy, and appropriateness are not guaranteed.
  • You are solely responsible for reviewing, moderating, and determining the suitability of all AI-generated content before using or distributing it.
  • AI-generated content may occasionally produce unexpected, inaccurate, or inappropriate results. Shotweave is not liable for any AI outputs.
  • Ownership and licensing of AI-generated content are subject to the terms of the underlying AI model providers. We make no claims of copyright over AI-generated outputs.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Generate content that is illegal, harmful, abusive, or violates the rights of others.
  • Generate child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content sexualizing minors.
  • Misrepresent AI-generated content as real footage or photography with intent to deceive.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, abuse, or overload the Service or its underlying APIs.
  • Resell or redistribute the Service itself without permission.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without refund.

7. Your Content

You retain ownership of the content you upload (reference images, scripts, descriptions). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your content as necessary to provide the Service — including sending it to third-party AI providers for generation.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party providers (fal.ai, OpenRouter, Stripe, Supabase, Vercel). We are not responsible for outages, changes, or issues caused by these providers. Your use of the Service is also subject to the terms of these third-party services.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shotweave shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the Service.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
